This is a really fun track that when broken down really has layers upon layers of technique and skill. I think you listening out the things you've learned while developing the track is great and really helps visualize those techniques in action.

While I'm not the biggest fan of this type of music I've been listening to this on repeat to come up with a nice review on it and I have to admit this is something I could hear commercially and enjoy.

If there's any sort of feedback it might be to maybe experiment with your EQs a little bit, you have such a strong low end here (in a really good way) and I feel like because of that there are only a few spots where your middle to high end really pull up in front.

The panning is good, and I think something you could experiment with is using both panning and your EQ to create a more unique resonation.

This is a really good track though. Something I could imagine seeing success commercially.

PotangNG responds:

Complete agreement on the high and middle end thoughts. Listening back to it, the low ends do overpower the high ends quite a bit. I think during the creation of this song I focused too much effort into the low ends, and forgot to let the melody leads stand out. Good observation, and I'll make sure to let the higher ends stand out a bit more in future works!

Really happy that you think this would do well commercially, I hope you're right in that! Thanks for taking the time to listen!

Very Trevor Jones, really beautiful piece here.

The-Cupbearer responds:

Thank you for saying so. This is probably the longest I've worked on a piece under 4 minutes so far, so I'm glad it seems to have paid off.

I would really avoid refering to this as Ambient or Atmospheric, it's a little chaotic and a lot of the instruments don't really go together. I think it sounds really cool, it has the vibe of a lot of Ps1 Zelda clone's, games like Kingsly and Alundra 2.

It just needs a leash, some thought behind where melodies are placed and if it wants to be Atmospheric or Chaotic.

CatDestroyer04 responds:

Thank you for listen the track, i will try my best for get better with time.

I think it's really lacking structure but if that's what you're going for than you nailed it. The kicks really turned me off from this but I infamously don't like breakcore and I guess I don't like Flashcore either.

Either way this is good work.

CatDestroyer04 responds:

Thank you for listen the track, even if you didn't like it, is not breakcore, is Flashcore (speedcore variant).

I always try to improve and offer something that listeners like while working with the genres that I love. I hope to have a better opportunity in the future from your part. Thanks again.

I don't understand why this is tagged as heavy metal, it's some sort of gritty analog synth simulation, right?

I wouldn't try so hard to define a genre and just focus on finding where your heart takes you compositionally and go from there. Make what makes your body feel good and don't worry about genres or anything whne you bring them here.

I think the track is okay though, it's pretty different than most of what's posted here.

wons responds:

The thing is that the site required me to specify the genre. i have no idea what type of genre this song is i was making whatever sounded nice to me

Once again happy to hear something unique and thoughtful without there just being some super compressed Breakcore beat punching through.

JimmyTheCaterpillar responds:

tyty i love weird shit!!! :D

Really catchy and fun. Soft listening, I think what's worth mentioning here though is how damn well you layered everything. How it comes out at 2 minutes and comes back in around 2:12 is so smooth.

You have a lot of talent and should be proud of this. I only gave four stars cause I think it could be a littttttle tiny bit panned better but It's super hard to tell without listening to how your panning is in your other work.

PotangNG responds:

Thanks! Yeah, this song was finished for a while, but what took me so long to get it ready for publishing was making sure the song was layered and mixed correctly! Yeah, I'm sure I could pan it better in future songs. I'm still a bit new to panning, so I don't use it a lot in my songs. But it's something I'm definitely going to expand on!

Post more, NG needs more live bands.

GameboyMicro responds:

Well, that made my day! I'll post more from the (upcoming) new album!

Gnna have to hard disagree with the other fella who posted here. While I also give this four stars I believe this track does encapsulate a final encounter or boss fight of some sorts. Boss fights don't have to be some huge epic Souls-like operatic piece. They can easily fit the world you've created, it's asthetics, it's elements and all and be quite perfect.

I think this works perfectly for what you're describing it to accompany.

ajfromcanada responds:

Hey thank you for the review! I appreciate the feedback. The track worked very well in our game, it was intense enough without being too distracting

Really enjoyed this, Not sure if you're interested in feedback but some of tracks could use some room to breath and expand. It feels really tight and I don't know if that's intentional or not, but there's some notable compression in some places.

Otherwise really good track.

RaptorYeahXoficial responds:

There meant to be really cool vocals, but because of copyright, I uploaded instrumental version. But thank you very much for your feedback!
